The fully digitalized collection of postcards and photographs comprises over 10,000 historic exposures. Moreover, we are happy to assist you in your personal family research and offer regular as well as flexible opening hours for individual assistance. The museum also releases its photographs and postcards on DVD and also issues commemorative postal stamps. We also provide a multilingual appearance on the internet. That which has been divided by inhumane regimes for so many years, should now grow together again in Europe without frontiers. Therefore the Museum of the Bohemian Forest would like to contribute by supra-regional cooperation with cultural institutions, museums and municipalities both at home and abroad, which during the last years especially focused on the Czech Republic.
Not only in Vienna and Austria, but also from further afield, the Museum of the Bohemian Forest has proven to be a well-known and rich source for chronicles, paintings, lyrics and music, maps, prayer books, costumes, glass and chinaware and for various tools of the rural daily life. We not only present many artifacts in our small museum, we also offer a comprehensive and well-sorted library.
